About Solar Battery USA
We help homeowners in California and Texas get a home battery installed by one licensed installer worth trusting. We study the batteries, vet the installers, and make one introduction we would stand behind.
Who we are
Solar Battery USA is operated by WattKeeper LLC, a private company. We built this service because the home battery market is confusing, and most "get a quote" sites treat a homeowner as a lead to be sold three or four times over. We do one thing instead: we match you with a single installer, and we put our name on that match.
What we do
You submit one short application. A real person reviews your address, your home's electrical setup, your existing solar if you have it, and your reason for wanting backup. Within two business days we call you, confirm the details, and introduce you to one installer we trust to do the job in your county.
Why you can trust the recommendation
Nobody pays us to push their battery. We take no manufacturer commissions and hold no inventory, so the recommendation you get is the one that fits your home, not the one somebody needs to move this quarter. The installer we match you with is an independently licensed company that clears every check in our standards below. Your information goes to one installer, never a pool of them, and never to anyone else.
Our standards
Before we send a homeowner to any installer, that installer has cleared every one of these checks:
- ✓State license for home battery installation is active and the bond is current
- ✓Workers' comp and general liability insurance are in force
- ✓Battery-specific manufacturer certifications are real and current
- ✓At least 50 home battery installs of the chemistry they're recommending
- ✓BBB and state-board complaint history reviewed by a human
- ✓Permitting record audited in your county
If an installer's license lapses or a serious complaint surfaces, they stop receiving homeowners from us until it is resolved.
How we're paid
The installer pays us a flat referral fee when we send them a match. That fee is the same whether you buy a $9,000 battery or a $24,000 stack, so we have no reason to steer you toward a bigger system than your home needs. You pay us nothing. You are never the product.
Where we serve
We are live in California and Texas today. We open a new state only after we have found installers we would trust with our own family's house, which takes time. If you are outside our service area, submit the form anyway and we will tell you the week we open near you. You can also visit our California site or Texas site for state-specific information.
Who's behind it
Licensing
Solar Battery USA does not hold a contractor's license, and we do not need one, because we do not perform installations. Every installer we match you with is licensed by their state regulator: the Contractors State License Board (CSLB C-46 or C-10) in California, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) in Texas. We verify each license before we make an introduction.
